Announcing the May Version Update
Well met, adventurers!
Matsui here with your May version update information.
May is the time of year when we celebrate Vana’diel’s creation, and this year FINAL FANTASY XI turns 15! We have prepared a little something more than what you’ve come to expect of version updates in thanks for all of your support of and dedication to FINAL FANTASY XI over its storied history.
But this doesn’t mean that we’ve neglected the meat of the version update, so let me give you a quick rundown of what will be hitting the servers in a few short days.
First, we’ve added another step in the popular Escutcheon questline, and things are really starting to heat up. The orders might be getting a little difficult, but the planner in charge would like to give a huge /grin of support to those looking forward to the continuation of the quest.
Additionally, we’re adding the fourth Ark Angel alter ego—AATT—to the game. The planner in charge has shared with me that AATT’s sleepy look might give you a bit of an indication as to what he can do, so complete the quest, call him forth, and experience the wonder for yourself!
You’re also in for a “whale” of a good time with the Pteraketos battle being added to Ambuscade this month!
Finally, we’re making various job adjustments and adding new synthesizable equipment to help keep things fresh.
Below is the usual table of items we’re planning to add in the next version update. As always, last minute issues may arise preventing us from implementing all of them, but we’re hoping for smooth sailing in May!
