One of the features planned for Patch 1.9 is the Linked Auction House System. Players will discover that they can buy and sell goods with greater effectiveness using this highly anticipated system. Horde players will find that the auction houses in Orgrimmar and the two new Undercity and Thunder Bluff auctions houses will share the same pool of player-character created auctions. The auction houses in Undercity and Thunder Bluff will be added in Patch 1.9. Similarly, Alliance players will find the same to be true when visiting the current Ironforge auction house, and the soon-to-be added Stormwind and Darnassus auction houses.
This system has been expanded to support non-aligned auction houses as well. Gadgetzan, Everlook, and Booty Bay goblin-run auction houses will be linked with each other so characters can access all of these auctions as long as they have neutral or better reputation with the goblin factions of Booty Bay, Everlook, and Gadgetzan.
In addition, the "Looking for Group" and "Trade" channels have been unified among the allied cities for each faction. For example the channel “Trade - City” will allow a character in Stormwind to advertise an item at the same time in all three Alliance capitol cities, and the channel “LookingForGroup - City” will allow a character in Orgrimmar to ask for help from other players in ThunderBluff and Undercity.
