ciekawa inicjatywa - trudno opisac jej skutecznosc, ale z pewnoscia jest lepsza niz narzekanie na lagi
DISCLAIMER: This is not another whine thread. This thread was posted to inform Blizzard of actions I will undertake as well as to get as much feedback from Polish customers as possible.
When I was studying Economic, although I'm specializing in Corporate Finance Management, I've taken lectures in various economics related subjects - one of them being Marketing and Public Relations.
And tbh Blizzard's Public Relations Department is far from well functioning. Some of us - WoW Users are experiencing lag and latency issues for a quite long time now. I can understand that mistakes and problems happen but I cannot understand a TOTAL lack of information we are faced with. Therefore I've contacted European Consumer Affairs Department - Polish Division (European Commission / DG Health and Consumer Protection).
I've informed them about our problems and pointed out that we cannot solve them ourselves as we DO NOT know who's fault it really is (Blizz/Telia/Local ISPs). ECA advised forwarding this issue to Polish UOKiK (Urzad Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumenta). UOKiK doesnt resolve single/private claims though, therefore I was also advised to submit group complaint concerning this issue.
Me and a few other Poles who play WoW and experience this issue will be submitting proper letter to UOKiK. Your signature is not neccessary as UOKiK will check if this is 'global customer issue' anyway, but I'd love to get some information concerning this problems from you.
What I need and do not need:
- I dont need no information from players outside of Poland - sorry - UOKiK is our goverment agency and it wont be able to resolve your issues anyway,
- I dont need your personal details, no information concerning your Name/Surname/Address/Contact details should be submited,
- I will need a brief description of problems you are experiencing: your ISP, service name, hours when you experience the latency problem, localization (City you live in),
- I'd love to get some additional information you've aquired yourself - meaning if you contacted your ISP write what did he say or didnt say,
- I'd love to see your emails written in a neat and non-vulgar way. I'll print them out and attach to official document sent to UOKiK.
I've set up an email address where you can send messages concerning this issue:
[email protected]
Please refrain from unnecessary spam. We are all tired of this issue.
I cannot and wont guarantee UOKiK will manage to resolve this issue in any way. I cannot guarantee I'll finally send the petition either (maybe Blizzard will finally do sth with this bloody problem or present us with official PR statement explaining the nature of the problem and their plan to resolve it as well as ETA on this resolve).
This initiative is held by my solemny and all I need is your support. I wont need no technical descriptions just a message that you cannot play. Dunno 'bout you but when I bought WoW all that was said on box was an information that "I will need Internet conection to play this game". Well I do have it and sorry Blizzard, but I do not have to be an IT-Pro to be able to play the game - and this will be the base of the issue I'm presenting UOKiK and ECA Department with.
