Hello,

With the release of the 1.9.3 patch we have included some experimental code that is designed to change how the game draws the screen when there are lots of characters or players together, most noticeable during busy areas such as Ironforge or Orgrimmar.

The code is still in testing and has not been fully implemented into the game (We have yet to include this as a selectable option with in the graphics options page)

From feedback during testing we have seem some noticeable improvements with the framerate, and with how smooth the CPU and GPU rendered the images on screen on the hardware setups tested so far

This code has been designed to work for both PC and Macintosh clients.

The code itself is not activated by default and can be started by adding the following line to the WTF/Config.wtf file.

You can open this file using WordPad or similar program, add this line and save the changes.

SET M2Faster "1"

(M2 is an internal nickname for the modeling/animation system that is used by WoW.)

The code itself may not produce any major difference should you have a fast CPU and Graphics card, neither will it triple your frame rate. It is simply designed to reduce the burden on the CPU by pushing more of the load onto the graphic card, should it support Vertex-Shading.

If you card does not support Vertex-Shading you will not see any changes.

Please note once again that this code is purely experimental and is currently under testing by our QA department. We have announced this feature now simply to get user feedback to see if there are any noticeable improvements to game play.

You may also want to try using this command in-game using the following console commands, so you can test on the fly with the option enabled or disabled.

/console M2Faster 1 - To enable the feature
/console M2Faster 0 - To disable the feature

If giving feedback please provide us some information about your computer.

- CPU (Brand / Rating / Speed)
- RAM (Type /Amount)
- Graphic Card used (Brand / Amount of Ram/ )
- Operating system (Version / Service Pack)
- General description of any noticeable improvements to your framerate or how the game renders all the information on your screen during busy areas.

Also, please post the frame rate in-game (Ctrl-R) before and after using the command.

Ciekawe... dzisiaj po maintaince sprawdze czy cos mi to pomoze.

SvD.
