Patch Notes December 19th - Christmas Patch!
On the shortest day of the year do the free people’s of Agon celebrate the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun. The clouds may gather, the skies darken ever-quicker, and the frost may chill the bones to the marrow.. yet the sun shall not be conquered and shall shine upon the land again.
In honor of the rising sun overcoming the winter darkness the peoples of Agon, for many centuries, have celebrated till the first rays of dawn bring relief to the cold, dark land! Traditionally these festivities take place around the largest tree of the forest to represent the Feast Lord who stalks the darkness with his brownie minions! Under cover of the shortest day of the year they will raid and steal from the wealthiest of the people, and leave gifts for the lowliest of hungry peasants.
Christmas Event!: The Frost Fest
Bringing the new Dynamic Event System to Unholy Wars, we kick it off with our exciting Christmas event! This new system will allow for greater flexibility in generating event hotspots and seasonal adventures!
An Event icon has been added to the UI sidebar and more events will be dynamically added in the future. Players will be able to stay up to date about upcoming events beforehand and ensure to participate on time!
Thieving Brownies will appear in various locations around Agon. Players can hunt them down in order to progress the Event as well as completing the new seasonal Feats. Skinning Thieving Brownies has a small chance to produce a Spark of Generosity which is necessary to thaw open Frozen Gift Boxes!
As Brownies around Agon are slain (don’t worry, they reincarnate) a global progress bar in the Event GUI will fill up. Once full, the Feast Lord appears to avenge the treatment of his minions! Check your map to locate him.
When the Feast Lord falls, frozen gift boxes will appear near his grave, with goodies for those that can thaw them out using Sparks of Generosity (a rare drop off of the special Frost Fest Brownies).
Christmas Event Feats:
- Thieving Brownie slayer (Slay 150 Thieving Brownies).
Reward: Frost Festive Beanie (Headweare).
Note: Rewards appear in the player’s Bank. - Novice Spark Skinner (Skin 400 Snowflakes from Thieving Brownies).
Reward: Snowball Crafting Recipe, 1 Spark of Generosity.
Note: Rewards appear in the player’s Bank. - Competent Spark Skinner (Skin 800 Snowflakes from Thieving Brownies).
Reward: Frostguard Shield (Skin), 1 Spark of Generosity.
Note: Rewards appear in the player’s Bank. - The Grinch (Open 25 Frozen Gift Boxes).
Reward: Abominable Snowchump Crafting Recipe.
Note: Rewards appear in the player’s Bank. - Christmas: Psycho-rabid Thieving Brownie Slayer (Slay 10000 Thieving Brownies). Reward: Spectral Grinch (Mask).

Feature additions:
New Relics:
- Relic of Mass Destruction:
Reinforce your clan’s cannons and catapults to cause extra damage!
Cannons and Catapult shots cause 40 extra damage.
- Relic of Brawn:
Put your clan to work by increasing their carrying capacity as well as movement speed when encumbered.
- Carrying capacity increased by 200 kg
- Encumbered walking speed doubled.
Relic System Updates:
- New Stealing Mechanic:
Players wishing to steal a relic will now need to bring down the Relic Altar from 4500 to zero health before a Relic can be stolen with the previous 15-second action. The Relic Altar is damaged from impact damage (grenades, cannons, catapult crackshot) and can also be repaired. For another Relic to be placed the Relic Altar needs to be fully repaired.
- Immolator Map Marker shown to all online players:
The position of the Immolator is now shown in the Map and is updated every minute.
New Prowess Monoliths:
Activated 4 new Prowess Monoliths:
- Tier III in Ardanat
- Tier II in Fangwall
- Tier I in Wanar Hall
- Tier I in Zahnal
General Updates:
- New Floating text system that can be customized through the HUD menu
- Hamlets have been updated with a variety of crafting stations.
- New River Shader & visual updates to Water & Waterfall Shaders.
- Updated the loot tables of Creeps, Freaks, Beasts, Fiends and Villains to drop low durability weapon and armor gear, ranging from rank 10 to rank 40.
- Executing an emote through the GUI enables action mode automatically
- Crafting and Harvesting are now located in the top Skills menu
- School skills on the Skill menu are now in the same order as they appear on the Battlemaster and Spellmaster menus
- Loading tips have been added to every loading screen
New Selentine Shop Premium Items
- New Premium Mount Skin: The Snowpiercer
Charge into battle like a lord of winter on the back of this truly majestic and fairly terrifying Northern Snowpiercer. This skin will replace that of as many of your mounts as you like. A mount will revert back to the original should you lose possession of it.
- New Premium Daggers Skin: The Frost Thorn
Slip a frozen shard of death through your enemy’s rib-cage! Equip this weapon skin to your daggers via the Gear Guise window to slice and dice as cold as ice.
- New Premium Staff Skin: Exultation
A stave often wielded in battle by the upper choirs of the Goddess’ Celestials. Add this skin to your staff via the Gear Guise window to give it the aspect of this most holy of weapons
- New Premium Two-Handed Hammer Skin: Impish Boomstick
Nothing says Frost Fest like strapping an imp to a giant hammer and just going to town. Add this skin to your two-handed clubs via the Gear Guise window to get truly naughty this holiday!
- New Premium Headgear: Grinning Grinch
This mask may just be the perfect disguise if you’re thinking of stealing a Frost Fest holiday
- New Premium Headgear: The Snowstalker
Don this holiday headgear and celebrate the old legends of homicidal snowmen hunting their prey through eerie and silent snow filled forests on the shortest day of the year
- New Premium Emote: Snow Angel
Whether an ancient ritual to ward off beings of terrifyingly angelic persuasion or just a fun way to spruce up the battlefield, unlock this emote and add some seasonal fun to the slaughter.
