Czyli wniosek taki, ze nie ma co grac w podstawke, tylko w LH, ktore jest lepsze

As I said, I can understand the appeal for some people, I just prefer the earlier version. He asked for a comparisson, so I gave it. I'm not going to debate which is better, because they both have merits.

On first playing LH I still prefared to play FE. But now I prefer LH, and don't think that I will go back to FE.
Once you get into LH, you can plainly see that it is a far better game on all fronts.

My 2 cents:
For me FE and FE LH are best games in this genre ever. They combine the most things I ever wanted for such games. When i played other games there allways came the point where I said "It would be really nice if I could do now X or Y", FE realized these things.
F.i. customizing leaders, nations AND troops. RPG-Elements, Adventures, Weapons and so on. And a Random-Map-Gen!
Its a good mix of ... hm... Civ, Age of Wonders and Disciples.
FE and the Beta of LH brought me allready so many hours of fun, that the price is for me really not too much. I guess the bugs and most balance-thigs will be fixed in the next time.
One big MINUS is the missing hotseat option. Its for me not understandable that such a game doesn't have it. At least because these could not be hard to programm.

The most obvious change is a total overhaul of the hero system. In FE your heroes have a pool of "general perks" and at level four, they gain a specialization giving access to a new set of "specialist perks". You are given a weighted random assortment of 5 perks to choose from at a level up There is a little bit of learning as some skills have vague prerequisites. In LH, you have a similar situation, but there are fewer "general perks" and you pick a specialization at level two. However, in LH you choose from a skill tree. The trees, at current, are in flux aand a bit of a total shambles, at least in many people's view. Many others seem to like it.
Also, in FE, you gain heroes by exploring and finding their camps. Higher level heroes require you to have improved "diplomacy tech" to hire, and all cost a fair amount of gold. This also allows for you to deny heroes to your enemies by blockade, or by killing unaligned heroes. In LH, at fixed "Fame" intervals, you are offered a selection of two random heroes. You are unable to postpone if you don't want them. LH also added half a dozen non-human heroes.
Magic also underwent significant revision. Level scaling was removed from several spells, and some cooldown timers were increased. Mana costs generally were increased, and several effects were changed. "Synergy Magic" from FE was removed and added to the Magician skill tree or base magical skills. The four random elemental bonus techs were also removed from the tech tree and added to the magician skill tree. Some spells were added, and a few removed. One enchantment in particular was severely nerfed. It needed it, but they went too far.
LH added several race-based skills, which are not really optimized. Each weapon type, excepting swords, got a tactical skill. They add some depth, but are kind of silly for the most part.
LH also added "swarming" to tactical combat, which is cool, but rough in the early stages. This allows units to gang up, getting increased damage for each allied unit adjacent to a target.
Encumberance was removed in LH in favour of a flat initiative penalty for metal armour. Heroes are now severely restricted in armour by specialization choice, with only 3 of 5 capable of wearing chain, and 2 of 5 allowed to wear plate, all requiring perks to use. FE also differed from LH in having three physical attack classes, and three physical defence classes. I preferred the flavour of having my cutting weapons bounce off of earth elementals and having to use magic or crushing blows to fight them.
Weapons are now being severly changed, a whole class of weapons was deleted, but another added, well, technically they changed several weapon classes, which is good, but took away some others for no other reason that I can understand. In the newest patch, many weapon attack powers will be reduced.
Soldiers are taking a beating in the latest LH update. I'm not entirely sure of the reasoning behind this.
Both FE and LH have ups and downs, some will always prefer one to the other. There's many things that I like and dislike in both, but I'm really not liking the new direction and feel that FE is better.
I na koniec: FE LH prawdopodobnie dostanie jakies multi, FE chyba nie.
