The PS2 team will continue to optimize the game far into the future. It IS true that not every computer out there is going to run PS2 out of the gate, but we will not rest until we're supporting the highest percentage of PCs out there that is feasible.
I know that this is going to be a major concern over the next few weeks, but it will get better.
If you really want to play PS2 but your frame rate is just too low for the HUGE battles, try gunning a lib or defending smaller outposts till we get the massive battles to work on your machine.
Keep the faith.

We aren't happy with the performance either. If your rig gets 20fps, there is still hope of reaching 30-40. If it gets 15, I can't promise anything. If it gets 5... well, we'll see you next upgrade.
Meanwhile, those with nice rigs certainly get to see a game they wouldn't otherwise see if we were trying to make this game for the kind of machine that gets 5fps.
Don't want to upset anyone, but don't want to be misleading either.
