Philippines OPEN BETA - Download, Install, Play!
(Philippines Version is in English)

This thread contains EVERYTHING you want to know about the Philippines OPEN BETA test of Rising Force Online; such as the dates you can play and step by step instructions on how to download the client and install it properly. However, it's very important that you read all the instructions, because you can quickly get yourself in a bind when attempting to patch this version of the game.

When Can I Play?

Certainly the Philippines OPEN BETA Test is available for anyone to download at any time, however you can not register an account nor do you need to worry about registering until the Open Beta goes live. When Registration for the Open Beta becomes available, I will provide a link in this thread. Until then, feel free to visit the LevelUp's RF Website, which is completely in English so there should be no trouble getting around. You can even join the forums if you desire.

The Official Dates for the OPEN BETA have been announced within LevelUP's RF Forums, and the schedule is listed below.

*
RF Online Sneak Peek (Sign Ups Begins and Beta Begins)
EVERYONE CAN JOIN!
November 18 – November 30 (But we wipe all accounts on November 30)
*
RF Online Open Beta (Sign Ups Continue and Beta Continues)
EVERYONE JOINS!
December 1 – January 9, 2006 (No more account wipes! This is the real thing!)

On November 18, All players can now play RF Online. This will be a test stage where players can experiment with different builds and get familiar with RF Online. Everyone will be allowed to join, However, the Sneak Peek is only in preparation for the real Open Beta and a total character wipe will happen on November 30.

Open Beta testing
December 1 to January 9, 2006

And now the real battle begins! Characters made during this stage of Open Beta testing will be retained for commercial launch and beyond. No more wipes! All the knowledge you have gained during the Sneak Peek will come into play as you fight for the domination of Novus and its valuable mineral resources!

RF Online launches commercially on January 10, 2006.

Since the servers will be stationed in the Philippines, expect a great deal of lag from time to time, especially in busy locations.

Where Do I Download?

Getting yours hands on the Philippines Client is easy enough, however it could be a time consuming process depending on your connection speed and the kind of download you choose. For starters, the Client is 1.37gigs in size and it's highly suggested you place it in a Harddrive will at least 10gigs of free space. This is to not only store the .exe, but to install the game, and still have plenty of room left for updates and extra space for smoother game performance.

Presently, there are two options you can choose for downloading the Philippines Client. You can either choose to download it via ftp direct download or choose a much more slower, but safer method of download by choosing Bittorrent. Bittorrent is a peer-to-peer download client, and greatly depends on your peers uploading and connection rates. Sometimes BT can be very fast, other times, and in the case of the Client you need, it can be time consuming. Considering the OPEN BETA begins November 18th, for those of you reading this thread before that time, you do have plenty of time to choose Bittorrent. I suggest downloading a client called BitComet first and then clicking the image below to download the Bittorrent version.

(Click and select OPEN)

For those of you who wish to Download via Direct Download FTP, you can use this link below.

Direct Download FTP

***This may take a great deal of time either way, but when you finally obtain the .exe file, please continue to the Installation instructions below. It's VERY IMPORTANT you read the instructions before opening the .exe file for the first time. ***

Installation Instructions
Remember, it's very important you follow these step-by-step.

1. The first thing you must do is change your computer's clock to Hong Kong time. Simply double-click the clock at the bottum right hand corner of the screen, select Time Zone (GMT+08:00) Beijing, and press OK.
2. Open the folder where the downloaded file is located and double-click on RFSETUP.EXE. If you used BitComet, you'll find it in the BitComet directory under Downloads.
3. Select the Directory you wish to install in and proceed with the setup. It may take several minutes to complete.
4. When complete, a RF Online Directory will appear in your start menu. Select RF Online > RFLauncher
5. The RFLauncher will automatically begin downloading Patches, however you will not be able to see much progress. Patching takes several minutes, so it's best to step away from the computer and ignore it. It can take up to 30 minutes to fully patch, if it has not progressed in that time, restart the program and try again.
6. Have your clock set to (GMT+08:00) Beijing whenever you play the game.

***If perhaps you get an Error telling you to Re-Install the game, you did not follow the steps properly!***

Smiesz zartowac?
