Out of the Depths (Ayame 1/3)
Ayame (Cannonry, Metalworks) A Goblin lair known as Movalpolos has suddenly appeared in North Gustaberg. Ayame wishes you to investigate this lair with the cooperation of a visiting scholar waiting in Port Bastok.
Speak with Ayame @ (K-7) in Bastok Metalworks. She will send you to speak with the tarutaru Rovaorara @ (E-7) outside of the Steaming Sheep in Port Bastok.
Head to (K-11) in Oldton Movalpolos and talk with Brakobrik. Trade him the following quantities of Hoary Bomb Ash and he will give you the key items you need. Hoary Bomb Ash drops from Ancient Bombs in Oldton Movalpolos.

Four = Peeling hairpin (A hairpin in Movalpolos. It appears worthless a first glance due to the peeling lacquer, but closer inspection reveals intricate carvings on this masterful piece of jewelry) 400 G
Three = Cracked Club (A club obtained in Movalpolos. The cracks along is length speak of frequent use). 300 G
Two = Pointed jug (A jug obtained in Movalpolos. You can hear some kind of liquid sloshing around inside). 200 G
One = Dusty tomb (A book obtained in Movalpolos. Its pages appear worn from being turned many times.) 100 G
Return to Rovaorara in Port Bastok with the four key items. She still wants more Moblin-type items, so return to Brakobrik in Oldton Movalpolos and trade him one last Hoary Bomb Ash. This time select "No Thanks." and he will give you the last key item: Old Nametag. Take this back to Rovaorara in Port Bastok.
Speak with Pavvke @ (I-7) in Bastok Mines to complete the quest.

A Question of Faith (Ayame 2/3)
Ayame (Cannonry, Metalworks) A holy tome was among the items you retrieved from Movalpolos. A friar known as Virnage is asking for the help of an adventurer to investigate this matter further.
Speak with Ayame @ (K-7) inside the Cannonry in Bastok Metalworks, who will tell you to go see to Virnage.
Talk to Virnage in the Bat's Lair Inn @ (I-5) in Bastok Mines. He will give you a Dawn Talisman (Key Item).
Go to Oldton Movalpolos and talk to Rakorok, located @ (K-10) near the 3 trap doors. An NM bugbear, Bugallug, will appear. It is around level 50 (don't know for sure). Once the NM is defeated, talk to Rakorok for a cutscene.
Return to Virnage in Bastok Mines for another cutscene and your reward.

A Question of Faith (Ayame 3/3)
Ayame (Cannonry, Metalworks) You are to find the one who speaks both common and the Moblin language, and learn more about the city of Movalpolos.
- Speak with Ayame @ (K-7) inside the Cannonry in Bastok Metalworks.
- Zone into Oldton Movalpolos for a cutscene.
- Go to Misareaux Coast and kill Orcs (Orcish Gladiator, Orcish Trooper, and Orcish Bowshooter confirmed) for Misareaux Garlic.
- Take your Misareaux Garlic to Muckvix @ H-10 inside Muckvix's Junk Shop in Lower Jeuno. You will be treated to a cutscene, plus Muckvix will give you 2,000 gil for your garlic and a Letter from Muckvix (Key Item).
- Deliver Muckvix's letter to Magriffon @ (I-7) inside the Bed and Breakfast in Kazham. Trade him 10,000 gil for a Providence Pot (Key Item) and a Letter from Magriffon (Key Item).
- Deliver Magriffon's letter to Muckvix back in the Junk Shop. He will take your Providence Pot to fill it with all sorts of smelly goodies, and give you a Pungent Providence Pot in return.
- Now zone into Oldton Movalpolos again for another cutscene.
- Speak with Tarnotik @ (K-10) in Oldton Movalpolos for a cutscene. He will teleport you to Mine Shaft #2716 in exchange for Ahriman Tears.
Do not continue past this point unless you have a party ready for a BCNM40.
- Upon trading Ahriman Tears to Tarnotik you will be transported to Mine Shaft #2716.
- Examine the Shaft Entrance for a cutscene. Select the Shaft Entrance a second time and you will be asked three questions, then enter a 6 person, Lv.40 capped Moblin BCNM.
- At the end of a passageway you will find 7 Moblins: Twilotak (DRK), Moblin Clergyman (WHM) x3, and Moblin Wisewoman (RDM) x3.
- After clearing the BCNM you will be rewarded with 10,000 gil. If you do not have anyone who can escape you after the BCNM, you may want to zone to Newton Movalpolos and speak with Sleakachiq @ (J-7). He will escape you out to North Gustaberg for 800 gil, which allows you to return to Bastok easily.
- Return to Ayame in Metalworks to finish the quest and receive your reward: Bowyer Ring.
- You also may wish to speak with Ravorara @ (E-7) in Port Bastok. She will buy your Pungent Providence Pot (remember she wants Moblin related items), for 1,000 gil.
Note: This BCNM can be cleared by defeating only Twilotak, but the WHM and RDM Moblins make this a difficult task (they do not move or engage, but cast lots of healing and enfeebling magic). Our strategy was to defeat the support Moblins then the DRK. We accomplished this on the first try with a party set up of: PLD WHM, SMN, BLM, SAM, DRG. My Astral Flow hit up to five of the Moblins at a time; three Infernos and a bunch of -aga spells allowed our melee to finish them off while our PLD and WHM focused on the DRK.
