Following a collection of questions from Warriors, the developers have shared their thoughts on the concerns. We hope you'll find this an interesting read.
Talents: Fury & Protection
Most of the questions centered on the current talent lines available to Warriors. Players are concerned with the current state of the Fury and Protection lines in particular. Good news! The developers acknowledge that those two lines need some love, and they plan on making some improvements to the Fury and Protection lines in an upcoming patch.
The Big Three: Retaliation, Shield Wall, and Recklessness
These three abilities are very powerful, and when used they drastically change the outcome of any one fight. Reducing the cooldown or unlinking these abilities would considerably alter the Warrior's current state. Before the developers think about altering these abilities, they’ll be focusing on the improving the Fury and Protection talent lines.
Talents – Part 2: Tactical Mastery
The developers agree that this talent is one of the most useful talents for Warriors and that it tends to lead players to the Arms talent line. Instead of making Tactical Mastery a purchasable skill, they are going to look for ways to balance it out in the Fury and Protection talent improvements.
Rumor: Sunder Armor
Many players seem to think that a change was made that reduced the threat of Sunder Armor. This is false, and just to make sure we tested it. No changes were made. It seems that any increased difficulty in holding agro for warriors is more of a result of other characters doing more damage now that "block" and "parry" events from behind are translated into "hits" rather than "misses".
PvP: Aggro
Many players are calling for a way to make the current Warrior aggro control abilities, such as Taunt, work on players in PvP. The developers feel that Warriors, in their current state, are capable of doing good damage and have a great survivability rate in PvP. We've found that the spells and abilities that frustrate players most in PvP are the ones that cause players to lose control of their characters (ie: stun, fear, polymorph, etc). Much of the focus of improving the PvP environment to make it more fun and playable has been in developing ways to counter those effects. As such the developers are very hesitant at this stage to add more ways in which players lose control of their characters (even if it's brief).
