Scarlet Monastery: Cathedral Gold Farming (60-80g/hour) with Frost Mage
This is a Gold farming trick I use on my Frost Mage, level 60, with Blizzard being all important. I spec for max Blizzard damage, so I get EVERY frost talent up to Ice Barrier, EXCEPT: 1) Improved Frostbolt, 2) Frostbite, 3) Frozen Core. This maxes your talents at level 60, and you are a mean frost machine.

I run Scarlet Monastery: Cathedral, and make about 60-80g an hour, not including Disenchanting materials and Greens I sell. Run from the beginning of the zone all the way to the Mograine (the male Paladin Boss), AVOIDING EVERYTHING. Do not get into fights unless you have to. I can normally manage without getting into more than one fight.
Get nice and close to Mograine without agroing him (you will need the open space of the hall to Blizzard). Make sure all your cool-downs are ready, pop Ice Barrier and Mana Shield (not highest, I generally use rank 4 or so) and let Mograine whack at you.
The Trick!:
At this point, EVERY mob in the zone is coming right at you, no need to gather them all. They're on a beeline right for us, so we can hit them all at once! Yay for us. Wait until Ice Barrier and Mana shield are down, and then pop Ice Block. This gives us another 10 seconds of time for everyone to come join the fun.
By the time Ice Block is gone, you should have everyone in the zone. Pop Frost Nova, blink, pop Ice Barrier (Mograine cannot be frozen, so this is to give him something to chew on) and Blizzard the nice big group of mobs you just made. 1 Blizzard should do it, sometimes 2, then go and Arcane Blast/Cone of Cold Until the mobs are dead. Kill Mograine.
NOW you must pop Evocation while Whitemane comes and does her thing, so you are back at full mana and health, ready to go. Kill them both using whatever means necessary, it's not that hard if you have your Tier 0 set (otherwise it's a challenge, and you'll need mana potions.)
Notes: If you are being at all resisted, try taking two points from the frost spec (normally Winter’s Chill or Ice Floes) and place them in Arcane Subtlety. Also, you may want to procure Don Roridgo’s Band (

THE LOOT:
Normally I get about 8-15g flat out, lots of stupid vendor stuff, and plenty of greens and of course the two or three blues (don't forget about the undead guy in the cell!) I Disenchant the stuff (very nice to be an enchanter, makes this much more profitable.) All in all, I rack in an easy couple hundred gold in a day of work. Fund those twink and expensive habits.
POWERLEVELING:
I've also taken people through SM Cathedral for money (or free for guildies) to get their loot. Kill the people in the first hall, and tell the lower level char to sit there while you get to Mograine. After you hit Mograine, your lowbie can run to you without fear of being agroed. They can sit by and watch the fun, getting some experience, but most importantly, being able to get the blues that dropped. I use this to bolster my income whe there are lots of mats on the AH, so prices are low. Twinks will often pay 25-40g for a few runs through to get all their blues.
