HanbitSoft renamed the title Hellgate: Resurrection, announcing their plans to re-launch the game. In July 2008, they were acquired by T3 Entertainment1, who committed their internal development teams to adding content to Hellgate, including a new expansion in the form of Hellgate: Tokyo.
Today, HanbitSoft announced Hellgate: Resurrection will release first in China, Taiwan, and South East Asia, followed by North America, Europe, and Japan, although, no timeframe for the re-launch was specified. The game already operates in Korea under a free-to-play model.
